Air measurements project officer

As an air measurement project officer, you can count on a challenging position within a nice team of about 15 colleagues. You have a travelling function and come into contact with many different clients, which keeps your job varied. Moreover, you can count on an extensive training programme, in which you learn from your colleagues while carrying out measurements and become an expert yourself.
Furthermore, there is a good work/life balance and regular events are organised for employees. You will be given a full-time, open-ended contract in a 40-hour week, entitling you to 12 extra days off.

As an air measurements project officer, your duties will include the following:

• You will go on site to industrial customers daily, your hours start running as soon as you leave home.
• You carefully set up the measuring devices and instruments.
• You perform emission measurements in collaboration with 1 or 2 colleagues
• You prepare your equipment for the next assignment.
• You value safety for yourself and your team members.
• You will come to the warehouse in Lokeren (bi-)weekly on Fridays for preparation, planning, maintenance and training.

As an air measurements project officer, you will work within a consultancy and engineering firm with a strong position in environmental consultancy and the sustainable development of the living environment. The company has several branches in Belgium and also operates on a European scale with more than 1,200 professionals. About 100 employees work in Belgium.

As an air project officer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• You have a scientific background from education (ASO, TSO, bachelor) and have a basic knowledge of chemistry.
• You are interested in going through the training programme so as to become an emissions expert.
• You have a good physical condition and working at height does not scare you. Moreover, you do not mind working outside both winter and summer.
• You can work well with others and have a flexible attitude.
• You have high quality awareness and are precise.
• You will have a driving licence B and your own car available to travel to customers. All kilometres will of course be reimbursed. Do you have a C driving licence? Then this is a handy extra.
• You can communicate fluently in Dutch both verbally and in writing.
• You already have a VCA basic diploma or are willing to obtain one (at the employer's expense).
• You are willing to travel to customers all over Flanders.
