Function

You will be responsible for the follow-up and execution of diverse projects with a focus on stability of existing concrete structures. During a familiarisation period, you will be introduced to the specific aspects of concrete damage and trained by an experienced Project Team. In this, you will be able to independently take the "lead" in a project involving the following phases;

  • Site visit: identifying the client's concrete problems and needs, developing a suitable research programme and preparing a quotation.
  • Coordination and execution of the project: drawing up a schedule, carrying out on-site measurements, coordinating technical staff and following up on lab tests.
  • Processing research results: collection and processing of results obtained from on-site measurements and lab tests, feedback of results to on-site observations.
  • Reporting: targeted interpretation of your findings, formatting of a report and communication with the project team and client.

In subsequent phases of the projects, specific sustainability analyses, structural calculations, preparation of specifications, site monitoring, etc. may be involved. The specific services in which you wish to specialise will be determined on the basis of your personal interests, knowledge and experience.

In short, you are looking for a job where your work adds value to practice and where you can combine different aspects of engineering work.
