Project engineer

For their Special Techniques department, they are looking for a Project Engineer. This department is responsible for the design and installation of bridge joints, bearings, vibration dampers and jacking techniques.

Your duties will include:

• Being the point of contact for the builder or related contractors.
• In charge of communication with study agencies and clients.
• Be responsible for both preparation and delivery of your projects.
• Analysing specifications and architectural plans.
• Going to site or site meetings when necessary.
• Drawing up the schedule and ensuring the right materials are in place.
• Collaborate with your fellow engineers.
• Ensuring all administration is on point.
• Preparation of budgets.
• Following up on the latest developments in standardisation.
• Participate in the development of the latest techniques in bridge construction.

• You have a master's degree in civil or industrial engineering (preferably in structural or mechanical engineering).
• You will start by supporting colleagues and then be assigned your own projects.
• You have a commercial feel.
• You can communicate fluently.
• You are stress-resistant and can work well against deadlines.
• You are eager to learn.
• You are flexible.
• You have a sense of responsibility.
• You have very good knowledge of Dutch and can express yourself in French, English and/or German is a plus.
