Function
As the Production Leader for the Spray and Blast Hall, you will be in charge of coordinating and managing all operations within this facility. Working alongside a dedicated team, your role is critical in ensuring the daily spray and blast activities run smoothly. The spray and blast process is of utmost importance in the production of the components we create.
Specifically, your duties include:
- Coordination: You will oversee and coordinate daily spray and blast activities, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.
- Organisation:As the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for your team, as well as managing equipment, consumables, and machinery (e.g., cherry pickers, exhaust systems).
- Supervision: You'll lead and motivate a team of industrial painters/blast operators, supervisors, and a QC Inspector.
- Planning: You'll create schedules, accurately estimating the required workforce and necessary materials and equipment to complete the job successfully.
- Quality: You'll maintain high quality standards, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan, and you'll contribute solutions to any issues that arise.
- Safety: You'll organize weekly safety inspections and ensure your team always wears the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Efficiency: You'll focus on process efficiency and progress monitoring.
- Improvement: You'll troubleshoot operational issues and propose improvements.
- Reporting: You'll report to the Production Manager.
Profile
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications and qualities:
- Holds a higher technical degree (Bachelor or Master) and has some initial work experience.
- Willing to learn and develop expertise in spray and blast techniques.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about expanding leadership skills.
- Familiar with NACE1, ICORR1, or FROSIO1, or willing to learn and obtain certification.
- Open to learning quality control, paint/grit options, mixing, and blasting techniques.
- Actively seeks ways to optimise equipment utilisation.
- Prioritises safety in all aspects.
- Comfortable working at heights, as our constructions are large and tall.
- Problem-solving abilities and adept at providing clear instructions.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility (no rigid 9 to 5 mentality).
- Hands-on and willing to roll up sleeves and get involved.
- Proficient in English or Dutch; knowledge of another language (e.g., Polish) is a definite plus!
