Function

Development of Molds and Mold Components

  • Responsible for all mold-related activities within projects, according to customer agreements and internal procedures.
  • Designing mold concepts based on customer and material specifications, in collaboration with mold suppliers.
  • Performing mould flow simulations to optimise designs.
  • Determining trim strategies and adjusting product models according to steel-safe standards.
  • Specifying molds and mould components, with clear responsibility for correct delivery.
  • Guiding and monitoring outsourcing assignments with toolmakers, both nationally and internationally.
  • Acceptance and evaluation of molds and components, specifying necessary adjustments.
  • Setting measurement specifications for products and mold components, in consultation with measurement rooms and customers.
  • Providing budget input for projects.
  • Responsible for CAD documentation in agreed systems.

Technical Support for Sales

  • Pre-sales activities: Technical support during customer visits and conference calls, assisting with marketing documentation.
  • Quotation support: Reviewing and adjusting product designs, cost estimations, and quotation requests for molds.

Profile

Technical Skills:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes for plastic products.
  • Expertise in molds, steel types, and machining techniques.
  • Proficient in CAD and PLM software (Siemens NX, Teamcenter).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA).
  • Skilled in Excel for evaluating measurement data.

Personal Qualities:

  • Strong commitment and a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Good coordinating skills and ability to work independently.
  • Flexible in tasks and working conditions.
  • Good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
