Job description:

As Maintenance Manager, you are ultimately responsible for our client's entire maintenance department. In this role, you are in general charge of around 40 employees and also manage a large team of contractors. The Maintenance Manager manages the maintenance budget and is responsible for increasing equipment-reliability through both preventive and curative maintenance and by further knowledge enhancement and capability building of the team.

Main tasks and assignments:

• Daily management of a team of supervisors, technical experts, work planners and maintenance operators in various disciplines, with attention to safety and quality procedures.
• Follow up maintenance planning on a daily and weekly basis and monitor the execution rate of the maintenance programme based on KPIs.
• Leading the organisation of the biennial plant-shutdown.
• Manage the site maintenance budget and actively collaborate with production departments to keep the budget under control.
• Define maintenance policy and strive for maximum reliability & availability of all assets, in collaboration with reliability engineers.
• Be involved partner in the site MOC process and commissioning of new equipment.
• Continue to develop team members' competences and support them in areas such as TPM, risk analysis, and working optimally with contractors.
• Be part of the on-call system to provide assistance and coordination for technical problems outside normal working hours.

You are/have...

• A master's degree in a technical field or equivalent through professional experience.
• At least +-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role to provide direction to the maintenance team & contractors.
• Proven experience in optimising a planning process within a medium-sized maintenance organisation and in controlling maintenance budgets.
• A real people manager who knows how to enthuse employees within a results-oriented environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of risk analysis and experience of commissioning are an advantage.
• Results-oriented, versatile, independent, a team player, flexible and sense of initiative.
• Communication skills in Dutch and English (possibly also French).
