For a client active in chemical product development and project operation in an industrial environment, we are looking for a junior R&D engineer to strengthen their R&D team.

• After extensive training, you will work on projects where new materials and production techniques are developed.
• You collaborate on product design.
• You operate the test line.
• You will work in the laboratory for the testing of various new materials and products.

Both testing and reporting on the tests are part of this task.

This is a very varied job with international contacts and where you will work together in different projects over time.

Our client develops and produces the best flexible plastic hose systems worldwide for B2B customers in various target markets.

• You are hands-on and not afraid of physical work.
• You speak English fluently.
• 2 or more years of experience with the design or process of plastic products is a big advantage, not a must.
• Skilled in 3D software, preferably Solidworks.
• Understanding of different materials and production methods, preferably a good knowledge of extrusion and injection moulding.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO13485 is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand product drawings.
• Ability to produce clear and concise written reports, typically in Microsoft Excel
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines and budgets.
• Liaise with the global R&D team, process technology and project engineers.
• Work well in a team.
