Java Developer

The development and improvement of software is central to your role. You will be part of an enthusiastic and experienced group of developers and analysts with whom you will work closely. You will focus on the development of new features and play an important role in migrations. With the team, you focus mainly on the expansion and partly on the maintenance of the platform.

Some of your daily tasks:

• You will be involved in the development of the entire software cycle.
• You translate the functional specifications into usable code and design.
• You provide advice and input on the current and future architecture.
• You will be closely involved in high-level technical innovations, using Google Cloud solutions, machine learning, big data and IOT concepts, among others

Our client is a provider of innovative IoT, Asset Management & Tracking solutions within the Geo ICT. The customers are mainly enterprise companies and always find a suitable solution thanks to the IoT Cloud platform (SAAS solution) and wide range of trackers, tags and sensors. With the trackers, tags and sensors, they collect data so that their customers' fleets, machines, tools and employees can be used even better. As an ambitious scale-up, they also provide customised solutions at the request of their customers. To strengthen and expand the internal development team, they are looking for a Java Developer.

• You have a higher education in IT with an interest in software development.
• You are passionate about innovative solutions for the optimal management of business processes and business assets.
• Professional experience in software development in JAVA and you have knowledge of Spring, Maven, REST, JSON, ...
• You have experience working on large code bases and are familiar with Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development.
• Familiarity with database technologies, microservices and functional programming are a strong plus.
• Agile and Scrum sound familiar to you.
