Internal claims manager

As an Internal Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing various types of claims:

• Fleet and liability claims of owned and leased vehicles in accidents
• Property damage claims, from inception to final settlement

You will advise on the filing of a claim, in consultation with the broker and/or legal department. Your duties include:

• Opening new claims files and collecting all necessary information
• Assess coverage and liability of claims
• Preparation of a proper claims file by checking information and gathering details in cooperation with colleagues's
• Analysing claims, monitoring progress and investigating potential fraudulent claims
• Correct and timely performance of administrative tasks
• Maintain contact with external and internal parties such as counterparties, brokers, insurers, clients, police and lawyers.

For this position, we are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Professional Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance, finance or legal field
• Interest in environmental, energy, waste and water management
• Accurate and orderly work
• Efficiency and ability to prioritise
• Good communication skills and negotiation skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented work attitude
• Team player who can also work independently
• Critical and analytical mind
• Fluent in Dutch and French, both orally and in writing
• Good knowledge of Word and Excel
• Experience as a claims manager is a plus
