Inside Sales Engineer

Function

As an Inside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:


  • Drawing up quotations on the full range of storage systems in consultation with sales and suppliers. You know better than anyone else how to analyse customer demand in order to ultimately propose and calculate the most suitable solution.
  • Furthermore, you negotiate with suppliers, also following up on your file and adjusting where necessary.
  • Then, after the sale, you work out the file so that our technicians or the contractor can complete the project.
  • As a product specialist, you will advise and support the sales team, the assembly teams and our customers.
  • You manage the files, discuss the calculated cost price and profit margin with the manager and, of course, ensure timely submission or dispatch of the quotation itself.
  • You will administratively and logistically supervise the projects.
  • You consult and negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers.
  • You are responsible for post-calculation. You deal critically with processes or calculation methods as a function of this post-calculation.

Profile

As an Inside Sales Engineer, you largely possess the following:


  • You can work at undergraduate level and have technical affinity from experience or education.
  • You can work well with current Office packages. Knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
  • You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • You are accurate in the execution of your tasks and have a sense of organisation and efficiency.
  • You have a good analytical and spatial insight to empathise with the world of warehouse design. For an abstract question, you like to come up with the concrete best fitting advice.
  • You are a team player but can also work perfectly independently.
  • You have communication skills that you use in your multi-faceted contacts with customers, colleagues, representatives, suppliers and mechanics.
  • You are stress resistant and always keep a good overview.

Organisation

Our client is an SME with around 50 employees active in warehouse and workshop equipment and intralogistics solutions. They operate in a number of business units including automatic warehouse equipment, classic storage systems, material handling and WMS software. To strengthen their growth, they are currently looking for an Inside Sales Engineer.
