For this vacancy of GL Accountant in the region of Puurs, we are looking for someone who will take on the following tasks:

• Processing the full accounts of assigned companies and countries.
• Preparing the monthly/annual financial close of assigned entities.
• Aligning accounting and operational processes.
• You will be responsible for balance sheet analysis and monthly reconciliation of assigned entities.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end internal and group reports.
• Tracking costs, accruals and provisions in cooperation with controlling and local teams.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process.
• Closing general ledger accounts and financial reporting.
• Check for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in the annual external audit process as required.

In doing so, you will work closely with the team of Financial Controllers. You will always work on a country or company based in Western Europe.

• You obtained a master's or bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, business administration or similar.
• Previous experience in finance, accounting and/or auditing is a plus.
• Knowledge of common accounting techniques.
• You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
• You possess a thorough knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• You are a critical, analytical and accurate person.
• You have strong communication skills.
