  • Flexible hours on a monthly basis, starting between 7-9 in the morning.
  • 35 days of leave, including 20 statutory and 15 adv days (40 hours in a 37.5 hour system).

Function

As Focus Factory Manager, you will lead a large cross-functional team that includes team leaders, group leaders, quality, engineering, production planning and continuous improvement.

You are responsible for meeting or exceeding all Focus Factory KPIs including safety, quality, delivery and cost.

As Focus Factory Manager, you coordinate the development of the people, processes and capacities within the Focus Factory. You report to the Plant Manager or in larger factories to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing all daily activities within the Focus Factory.
  • Work with site functional managers to ensure that employees with dual reporting lines have clear expectations and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and visitors while complying with all government regulations and Tenneco EHS policies.
  • Creating a zero culture - zero accidents, zero defects, zero late orders and zero waste.
  • Ensure that the quality system is maintained to meet ISO9001/IATF16949 standards.
  • Ensuring that products are produced on time and according to the customer's quality requirements, so that the customer's delivery schedule is met.
  • Plan and manage delivery requirements, inventory levels, labour productivity and asset utilisation.
  • Promote safety through the proper use of machinery, tools and equipment. Evaluate technological developments and examine the feasibility of new equipment and techniques for improvements in production methods.

Profile

Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience.

Experience with:

  • managing production and staff budgets
  • Lean Continuous Improvement and project management
  • achieving or exceeding operational KPIs
  • stimulating employee involvement

Previous work experience in engineering, quality, continuous improvement and material management is a plus.

Experience with ERP systems is recommended

Strong communication skills and the ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organisation.

Ability to manage in a double reporting environment.

Knowledge of general engineering and production processes - DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, DVP&R, etc.
