First Line Support Engineer

As a Support Engineer you will have the following tasks;

• Provide support to both end users and distributors of our solutions (hardware and software).
• Using a ticketing system to log all incoming issues.
• You will personally make an assessment of incoming requests to know what can be solved onsite or remotely.
• If necessary, you will forward the questions or 'problems' to specialised colleagues.
• Act as an intermediary between the customer and internal teams.

Our client is a young, dynamic spinning off of the University of Ghent. They are active in high-tech, precision mechanical engineering with universities, research centres and hospitals as end customers. At the moment, about 20 people are working here and there is a collegial and open atmosphere. The company is easily accessible from the motorway and has its own car park. They currently have about 50 installations worldwide and with a view to growth, they are looking for an IT support engineer.
