Financial Controller

Your duties as Financial Controller within this organisation will include the following:

• You will assist in the integration of newly connected practices and clinics within the organisation's financial systems.
• You will assist in the preparation and follow-up of the monthly and year-end closing.
• You take care of tax and legal obligations. This includes VAT returns, corporate tax returns, annual accounts, board of directors and general meeting.
• You will provide support to local clinics in implementing changes to financial processes.
• You will assist with monthly reporting, annual budgeting, managing and monitoring forecasts.
• You will produce ad-hoc financial cost analyses to provide practice managers with insights to further improve their clinic operations.
• You will act as a sparring partner for the Finance Manager and Country Manager and share knowledge and experiences with other colleagues within the Shared Service Centre.
• You will travel to the clinics if needed.

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for a well-known organisation to join the team. You will be joining a European player whose Belgian branch is in full growth. To fill this Financial Controller vacancy, we are looking for the person who can identify with the following:

• You are an accurate, reliable, entrepreneurial financial expert who enjoys being part of a start-up team within a European growth group.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy-Taxation or a Master's degree in Finance (Accountancy specialisation is a strong asset).
• You have relevant experience gained in an accounting firm or end-to-end accounting department.
• You have a good knowledge of Belgian accounting rules and tax and corporate legislation.
• You are service-oriented.
• You have a strong affinity with IT (both Excel and ERP systems).
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch, English and French.
