Function

  • Resolve technical problems with the function of components or with the layout of assemblies
  • Improving production workflow
  • Assist the CS Engineer with drawings and proposals
  • Assist in testing customer-specified parts
  • Ensuring that Solidworks drawings include accurate bills of materials, manufacturability and best practices
  • Translating customer demand into CAD models for customised assemblies, with an eye on design for technical requirements, cost, service and reliability
  • Work with customers to understand the custom-build assembly specification, provide direction on best practices and product/process solutions
  • Ensuring that the customer receives a solution that not only meets the specification, but solves the problem(s) identified
  • Provide product and technical information from the customer service and sales team
  • Continuous improvement
  • Maintenance and control of rental equipment with contracts
  • Ownership of calibration, maintenance and certification of workshop equipment
  • Understand and follow Custom Solutions policy and quality

Profile

  • Higher Electromechanical Education (Graduate/Bachelor/Master) or equivalent through experience
  • Basic knowledge of 3D drawing packages (e.g. Solidworks) CAD modelling
  • Capable of communication, active listening and problem solving
  • Comfort working on multiple projects while maintaining clarity and patience
  • Design of fluid systems
  • Understanding the severity of leak-tight systems
  • Basic knowledge of safety and hazards of pressurised systems
  • Detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practical skills in pipe bending and building fluid systems is a plus
  • Customer and internal interactions to obtain clear opportunity requirements
  • Working closely together on manufacturing and quotations to meet deadlines and agenda
  • Provide regular production support
  • Help improve production layout/processes
