As Chief Accountant at our client, you are responsible for the complete accounting of their logistics companies from A to Z. Of course, you do not do this alone. The actual processing of accounting documents takes place within the companies themselves, where you support them. In addition, you work closely with the Business Controller.

Your duties will include:

• Fully processing the parent company's accounts according to BGAAP.
• Monitoring and supervising accountants at other logistics entities.
• Monthly preparation and timely declaration of VAT.
• Taking care of the monthly and year-end closing of the companies.
• Preparing audits by auditors for your files.
• Provide support to the external accountant in the preparation and filing of corporate returns.
• Act as the first point of contact in government audits, banking matters, etc.
• Think critically about the optimisation of procedures, reporting, etc., and take the lead to further develop improvement proposals yourself.

As an Accountant, you possess:

• A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a relevant field such as accounting or financial auditing, complemented by at least three years' experience.
• A team-oriented attitude, where you enjoy immersing yourself in the world of entrepreneurs and supporting them in the field of Belgian accounting legislation and VAT.
• A passion for the logistics sector.
• A hands-on mentality, working accurately and excelling in numerical analysis and Excel skills.
