Chief Accountant

As Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparing and reporting the monthly balance sheet;
• Support colleagues as needed in day-to-day accounting of various companies, as well as the financial holding company;
• Consolidation of the various balance sheets of the
• companies of the financial group;
• Responsible for various accounting and tax matters
• attestations and declarations;
• Participate in optimistaies of internal processes.

Our client is a Belgian financial institution, specialised in savings and credit. They operate in a real niche sector and have more than 60 years of experience on the counter.

In recent years, they have experienced very nice growth and therefore continue to invest in their greatest value, staff.

To replace a colleague who will soon start in a new position, they are currently looking for a Chief Accountant.

As Chief Accountant, you are/have:

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy-Taxation or equivalent through experience;
• Several years of experience in a (similar) accounting position;
• Precise and accurate;
• Positive attitude;
• Communicative and social;
• Be able to provide direction to colleagues in operational accounting;
• Team player with hands-on attitude
• Knowledge of French and English is an asset.
