Calculator/Sales Engineer

As a Calculator/Sales Engineer, you are the link between the customer and our technical teams. You are responsible for preparing quotations, coordinating external measurements and following up projects.

Below is a sample of your duties:

• Preparation and follow-up of technical offers.
• Analysing and comparing cross-sections and floor plans with architectural plans.
• Using software tools to measure and interpret drawings.
• Entering data into Excel to make accurate calculations.
• Providing advice to customers to help them make decisions.
• Maintaining customer contacts to discuss quotations and answer queries.
• Coordinating post-sales production and monitoring deadlines.
• Performing additional tasks such as quality control and concrete testing.

As a Calculator/Sales Engineer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• You preferably have a construction background, or experience as a site or work planner.
• You can interpret and analyse technical drawings.
• You have experience in preparing quotes and following up on projects.
• You are a fluent communicator and are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of French.
• You are customer-oriented and have no qualms about calling customers and advising them in order to make a good offer.
• You work accurately and with an eye for detail.
• You are comfortable with Excel and other relevant software tools.
• You are eager to learn, proactive and can deal with changing customer requirements.

Our client operates within high-end architectural concrete projects. They have more than 40 years of experience in the business and specialise in the production of both balconies and façade projects. Their mission is to offer qualitative and technically feasible solutions to their customers who mainly consist of contractors and architects. Today, they have about 20 employees of their own and are looking for reinforcement in the form of a Calculator/Sales Engineer.
