Calculator

As a Calculator, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• You will analyse specifications and other relevant documentation of incoming competitions and public tenders.
• You will prepare detailed cost price calculations and transform them into quotes for public authorities, professional clients or private individuals.
• You request prices from contractors and suppliers.
• You keep track of price developments and monitor market trends.
• You will work closely with project management.

As a Calculator, you can largely tick off the items below:

• You preferably have a higher technical education, preferably in construction engineering or are equivalent through experience.
• You have an affinity with the asphalting or sewerage sector or a strong interest in it.
• You are analytically strong and have an eye for detail.
• You are communicatively strong and can build lasting relationships with contractors.
• You are administratively strong.
• You are enthusiastic, eager to learn and willing to develop new skills.

For our client specialised in ground and road works, we are looking for a calculator. Our client has deliberately chosen to focus on the smaller works that take an average of 1.5 weeks and a maximum of 1 year (smaller sewerage works, subsidence, laying clinkers, etc.). They deliberately leave the larger projects aside. Their customers are mainly cities and municipalities, intermunicipalities,... Construction sites are located from the coast to Turnhout and all around. Because of their open-door culture, everyone knows everyone and they like to have a beer together on Fridays. A total of 50 colleagues work within the company.

Besides the opportunity to develop yourself within the company, the following are offered for the position of site manager: salary according to experience and training, meal vouchers, expense allowance, mobile phone, laptop.

They also follow the construction leave (3 weeks of major holidays, 2 weeks of Christmas holidays). To put construction leave to good use, our client organises an annual bbq for all colleagues's.
