Automation Engineer

As an automation engineer, you are in contact with various departments (engineering, manufecturing and service) and report to the Engineering Manager.

Your duties will include:

• Together with your colleagues in Engineering, you work out their projects in terms of automation.
• You will design the internal controls of steam generators and related peripheral equipment and do so according to the latest regulations.
• You will perform PLC programming on Schneider and Siemens PLCs and HMIs and develop protocol converters.
• After consultation with the customer, you realise a seamless integration of their generators within the customer's operating environment. You assist them with technical expertise not only during the project phase, but also after everything is operational.
• Within the Service Department, you will provide technical support both internally and to customers. You provide regular training on the operation and use of their steam generators and are available for any troubleshooting.

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, industrial automation, computer science or a related technical field.
• You have in-depth knowledge of automation technologies, such as PLC programming and HMI (Human Machine Interface) development. Knowledge of SCADA systems is a plus.
• You have working experience with TIA Portal (Control Expert, Machine Expert, Vijeo Designer)
• Knowledge of industrial burner technology is a plus.
• As an Automation Engineer, you are familiar with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP, etc.
• You are a team player and strive for customer satisfaction.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English and knowledge of French is a plus.
