ATEX sales engineer

Currently, to expand the team, this company is looking for a Sales engineer for the Antwerp and South Netherlands region. Occasionally you will travel to the head office in Ghent but you will mainly work in the region itself. Besides customer visits, you can work from the office of a sister company in the Antwerp region or work from home. You will work together with the 2 other experienced sales engineers and in the initial period you will visit the customers together with them to get to know the product range well.

• You respond to customer needs by offering the right products
• You will develop a sales strategy for your region
• You will report to the Sales director

• You have a technical bachelor's or master's degree
• You can work independently and enjoy taking responsibility within a company
• You are commercially minded and at the same time patient and understanding towards your customers
• You are accurate and keep good track of your administration
• You have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
• Experience in the ATEX world is a plus

This company specialises in explosion protection equipment. They distribute their ATEX range in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. Their customers are active in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, but they also supply engineering firms and installation companies. They do not do catalogue sales but fully support the customer on a technical level when making a choice and also provide training on the products. As this is a niche market, they therefore really fulfil an advisory role for customers.
