The Application Engineer is part of the Healthcare team. You are responsible for adapting existing products to customer-specific requirements. You are also the first point of contact for customers requiring a personalised product. You translate the customer's requirements and offer various solutions. 

You set up and then follow up projects, taking into account the budget. You are the link between the customer and the application team. You are also the contact person for the projects in terms of technical support and follow-up. You participate in meetings for each potential new project. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support clients during projects.
• Responsible for initial drawings.
• Setting milestones.
• Deliver samples on time and within the right specifications. 
• Ensuring that products remain within standards.
• Respecting deadlines. 
• Customer communication.
• Communication with the application team.
• Looking for new ideas in the market.
• Visit trade fairs to look for new opportunities. 

Our client develops and produces the best flexible plastic hose systems worldwide for B2B customers in various target markets.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial sciences obtained e.g. chemistry, biomedical sciences, ... 
• Experience with or knowledge of plastics is a plus.
• Interest in the plastics or health care sector. 
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written). 
• For this position, we are looking for someone who is communicatively strong, attentive to details and willing to work both independently and as part of a team.
