Accounts Payable Specialist

A look at the duties of the AP Specialist:

• Support the Payables Manager in defining local or non-global processes.
• Timely and quality processing of incoming invoices.
• Function as a relationship builder between internal functions.
• Strive for compliance with payable processes.
• Daily contact with operational departments.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, managers and operations.
• Dispute management: receipt and resolution of escalations from suppliers, shared service centre, stations/operations.
• Provide and maintain reports with various stakeholders.
• Follow-up with various operational units on unapproved/unresolved invoices

What profile are we looking for?

• Initial experience in Finance, preferably in Accounts Payable (invoice processing, payments, etc.).
• Strong communication skills.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, etc.
• Acts as a confidential partner.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Driven to pursue process improvement.
• Knowledge of languages: Dutch and English.
