Wondering what your duties as a Bookkeeper A-Z might look like at our client in the Herentals region? We will give you a first indication:

• You will work closely with two other accountants who mainly handle the A-Y story.
• Where necessary, e.g. during holiday periods, you support at operational level. This includes entering invoices, supporting in terms of debtor management, preparing and checking payments, etc.
• You are jointly responsible for VAT returns.
• You will collaborate on periodic closures. This includes monthly closures.
• You will support the chief accountant in his tasks and assist where necessary.
• You think critically about the existing accounting processes and suggest improvements where possible.
• You will work for the 3 different concessions. Which means you will also physically make your way to the concessions to work from there.
• You maintain an overview of the accounting process.
• Each week's efficiency will be determined, in which you will have a contributing role.

We are currently looking for an additional employee in the accounting department for our client in the Herentals region. The idea is that you will strengthen the accounting team from your role as Bookkeeper A-Z.Our client is active within the automotive sector and has several concessions spread across the province of Antwerp. There is a family culture within this organisation.

To fill this position in the Herentals region, we are looking for the person who recognises themselves in the following:

• You obtained a bachelor's degree in an accounting field or are equivalent through experience.
• You can count on several years of experience within A to Z accounting, including experience with periodic closings. Moreover, if you are also familiar with monthly closings, this is an absolute advantage.
• You know how to communicate professionally fluently in Dutch; a basic knowledge of French and English can always be useful.
• You are someone who wants and dares to take responsibility.
• Your tax knowledge not 100% up to date? No problem, experts are regularly invited to give you the latest updates.
• You are willing to travel to the various sites. In doing so, you will switch between Herentals, Aartselaar and Schoten on a regular schedule and alternate with a home working day.
• Knowledge of Navision/Business Central is useful.
• You are fluent with Excel.
• You can handle working with deadlines.
