Mechanical draftsman

At this company in Meer, Hoogstraten, you are a mechanical draftsman playing a crucial role in the design and development of new machines, as well as the overhaul and improvement of existing ones. You will work closely with a team of 15 draftsmen spread between the branches (Meer and Beveren) to work on projects together. Flexibility and cooperation are essential at the start of a project, with occasional physical consultations required at the Beveren branch.

For this job, you will draw full 3D concepts and develop ideas based on feedback and specifications for the customer.

• Design and development of mechanical drawings for new and existing machines in Solidworks.
• Collaborate with the assembly team and other technical departments to develop and improve concepts.
• Working on various projects, both in the office and occasionally on site at clients' premises.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation and drawings according to applicable standards and specifications.
• Use of CAD software such as Solidworks to create detailed 3D models.

• You have a technical degree or already have experience within a position as a mechanical draftsman.
• You have experience in drawing in Solidworks.
• You can work independently and solve practical problems.
• You are flexible to work sporadically between branches and occasionally visit customers. You will mainly work from the office in Meer.
• You possess a hands-on mentality.

This client located in Meer, Hoogstraten specialises in packaging machines both developing and producing new lines and doing modifications to existing machines. Their projects are located not only in Belgium, but also in our neighbouring countries. They fall under another company located in Beveren. They continuously work together to realise their projects.
