Job description:

As production manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of production. You ensure the start-up of the production lines and draw up the planning together with the other production manager. In addition, you provide all production lines with the necessary work orders and ensure their smooth running. You direct all employees and manage the process knowledge, work instructions and procedures related to the production lines, such as decoil, milling, saw, laser and slit processes. You optimise the machining processes with a strong focus on quality, productivity, efficiency, costs and safety. Moreover, you organise internal training on first aid, fire, safety and welfare, coordinate evacuation exercises and keep the various emergency plans up-to-date. You manage the possibilities and limitations of the current machine park, report opportunities and shortcomings and implement optimisation proposals. You are also responsible for managing, testing and monitoring new technologies. You identify and analyse faults, determine corrective actions and follow up the implementation of (preventive) maintenance. Finally, you provide technical support and training to operators, other departments, suppliers and customers.

Profile

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Experience in managing and coaching employees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Results-oriented with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of decoiling, milling, sawing, laser and slitting processes is a plus.
