Project planner

As Project Planner, you are the lynchpin in the planning and coordination of complex technical projects. You ensure that all steps of a project - from preparation to delivery - run smoothly. With your technical background, you are able to make realistic schedules, closely monitor progress and identify and solve problems in time.

What will you do?

• Planning and coordinating all project activities, taking into account deadlines, available resources and budgets.
• Preparation of detailed project schedules and ensure that all parties involved (project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors) comply with them.
• Identify technical and operational bottlenecks and provide timely solutions to keep the project on track.
• Maintaining communication with internal teams, external partners and clients to report project progress.
• Monitoring quality, cost and timetable's of projects and adjust where necessary.
• Analyse of project data to optimise future schedules and better manage risk's.
• Support in the implementation of technical plans by using your knowledge and experience to solve technical issues.

What do you bring?

• An engineering degree (preferably in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering) or logistics training or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in project planning within the infrastructure, construction or energy sectors.
• Excellent knowledge of planning software such as MS Project, Primavera or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Good communication skills to switch between different teams and stakeholders.
• Hands-on mentality: you take initiative and think solution-oriented.
• A good command of Dutch (knowledge of English and/or French is a plus).

Within the Distribution business unit, as a contractor, the company lays utility lines for gas, water, electricity and data, both in new construction projects and renovations. Our client takes care of the entire process from the grid to the meter box. Because it can provide all underground networks and house connections, the ground only has to be opened once.
