Function

As a technical buyer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the entire procurement process, taking into account cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • You will help find new partners and opportunities in cost reduction and negotiate terms with suppliers.
  • You will be involved in the efficient set-up and maintenance of the ERP package at item level and the registration of parts of our plants.
  • You will build lasting relationships with various colleagues's and internal departments: production, after-sales service, R&D.
  • You also build long-term relationships with suppliers. Together with them, you make agreements on price, quantity, delivery reliability, service and quality.
  • You ensure optimisation in our stock management (including determining EOQ, minimum stock level, reorder level, consignment stock, safety and cycle stock).
  • You will also ensure clear reporting.
  • This position is open because the current technical buyer will be moving on to a production manager position. So there is still in-house knowledge about the purchasing process.

  • You have a knowledge of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics,...
  • You have negotiation skills to use with suppliers.
  • You are fluent in ERP and data analysis.
  • You are hands-on and have regular consultations with production.
  • You have a good knowledge of Excel.
  • You speak very good Dutch and English. Knowledge of French may be a plus.
  • You work accurately and solution-oriented.
