Function

As Production Engineer, you will work in the department where aluminium components for the medical and lithographic sector are manufactured.

In short, you will be responsible for starting up new production processes, products and investments. In addition, you provide improvement processes and production optimisations.


A brief summary of your tasks:

You lead technical projects (new processes, investments, start-up of new business/customers) and are responsible for scope, budget, team, project follow-up up to and including final transfer to production.
You optimise existing production processes:

  • Automatization of manual activities such as deburring, cleaning, visual inspection, etc.
  • World-class CNC machining process with the latest technologies.

You control quality, cost, productivity, safety,...
Where necessary, you make adjustments with improvement initiatives.
You apply your practical and theoretical knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as PFMEA, Kaizen, Lean and SMED, in a team context.
If necessary, you look for process innovations and keep in close contact with technology suppliers, machine builders, trade fairs, research groups, sister companies, at home and abroad.
You provide technological support and training to operators, other departments, suppliers and customers.

Profile

As a Production Engineer, you possess:

  • You obtained a master's degree, preferably Electromechanics.
  • You have relevant experience in project management and continuous improvement.
  • You are passionate about metalworking and machining techniques.
  • You enjoy being on the shop floor.
  • You are communicative, a problem-solver and have an eye for quality.
  • You have practical and theoretical knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as PFMEA, Kaizen, Lean and SMED.
  • You are a real team player and take initiative.
