PLC software engineer

As a PLC software engineer, your duties will be as follows:

• designing, programming and configuring PLC control systems
• You will work on completely new projects and you will also be responsible for analyses of existing systems, with the aim of implementing optimisations
• In consultation with the customer and the internal team, you review the necessary specifications for designs & optimisations
• you work from our office in Menen or go on site at the customers' premises to carry out the installation of hardware and software
• You are responsible for testing up to and including commissioning; in the event of implementation, you may be asked to provide training for end-users. This may also require travel abroad
• You will also ensure correct and maintained documentation so that knowledge about the various projects is guaranteed

As a PLC software engineer, you preferably meet:

• You have a minimum of a technical bachelor's degree
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English
• Experience with PLC (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff,...) and SCADA is an asset, but not a must.
• With your sharp analyses of complex situations and the art of finding effective solutions
• You like to think actively with your colleagues; keep those brainstorming sessions and team discussions coming!
• Travel to customers, possibly abroad, no problem for you.
• Moreover, you have a high level of customer-friendliness and pay attention to safety
