Hardware Automation Engineer
Function
Your duties as a Hardware Automation Engineer will include:
- You will provide support to the Sales & Project Manager by contributing to the selection of products and materials, and estimating the time required during the quotation phase.
- You will be responsible for jointly defining the technical design, functional analysis and specifications in consultation with the customer, the Technical Lead and/or Project Manager.
- You will carry out the design, programming and documentation of electrical solutions (designing and drawing cabinets and schematics's).
- You will support the electrical engineers in installations and cabinet construction.
- You are actively involved in consulting with the Software Engineers for the integration of hardware and software solutions.
- You will organise and supervise test phases, including preparation of as-built drawings, test reports and documentation.
- You will be responsible for the successful commissioning of solutions and providing support and training to the customer's operators and engineers.
- You will support the Sales & Project Manager in technical discussions with customers and ensuring clear communication and understanding throughout the project.
Profile
Your hard & soft skills as a Software Automation Engineer:
- You have a technical degree (Bachelor/ Master) or equivalent through experience.
- You have an affinity for industrial electrical applications and solid knowledge in this field.
- You have experience of drawing and designing in an electrical drawing programme (ePlan, Autocad & Inventor).
- Not only are you customer-friendly and enthusiastic, but you also think in terms of solutions.
- Variety in work appeals to you, and you see each project as an opportunity to both broaden and deepen your knowledge.
- Whether you work independently or collaborate in a team, it doesn't matter to you. You are flexible and adapt easily, allowing you to function effectively both individually and as part of a team.
