Function

As a Purification Project Coordinator, the following tasks will be part of your remit:

  • You are responsible for the coordination and realisation of maintenance assignments concerning the management of the sewerage network, e.g. blockages, fractures, collapses, etc. within the wide region of Aalst to Zaventem and Halle.
  • You will prepare assignments, set priorities, coordinate the various works, act as a contact person for the sites.
  • You will also oversee preventive maintenance orders and small investment projects.
  • You are back-up within the team of 4 project coordinators.
  • You can assess problems well based on on-site investigation.
  • You will consult with the person in charge of the municipality and with the customer on site.
  • You will prepare a technical and administrative implementation plan for the various service providers, including safety procedures.

Organisation

Our client is a government organisation with a wide range of services. They supply drinking water and industrial water, decontaminate waste water, make our purchasing expertise available and manage public buildings.


Together with 10 administrative colleagues and some 70 technical colleagues such as project coordinators and managers, warehouse staff and technicians, you will be part of a team responsible for the operation and development of drinking water and sewage infrastructure and roadworks on public property.

Profile

The following competencies are expected in this role:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree and have a strong interest in construction engineering, road construction, water techniques, sewage works, disconnections,... Or you have a higher secondary school diploma combined with at least 4 years of experience. As well as a graduate degree combined with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • If you can read plans, this is a plus.
  • You are a real problem solver. You get energy from dealing with unexpected situations on an ad hoc basis and you foresee pragmatic solutions.
  • As a team player and fluent communicator, you know how to professionally manage consultations between (sub-)contractors, municipal managers, colleagues and/or clients.
  • You can work fluently with current MS Office software. Experience with an ERP package is a plus.
  • You have a driving licence B and are willing to travel within the wide region around Aalst to Zaventem and Halle.
