Site manager steel construction
Function
As a Steel Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and coordination of large-scale steel construction projects. You will maintain an overview of the site and ensure that scheduling, quality and safety go hand in hand.
- You will organise and plan the work on site and ensure it is carried out efficiently.
- You will coordinate the various tasks, the scope and complexity of which may vary considerably from project to project.
- You supervise the workers on site and ensure that tasks are clearly allocated.
- You will closely monitor the progress of the steel structures and make adjustments where necessary.
- Together with the project manager, you will monitor the quality of the work carried out.
- You are the main point of contact for workers, subcontractors, partners, clients and inspectors.
- You ensure smooth communication between all parties involved.
- You anticipate technical and organisational problems and look for practical solutions.
- You will monitor compliance with safety regulations and ensure that they are correctly applied on site.
- You will work closely with the project manager and report on the progress of your projects.
Profile
For this role as a Steel Construction Site Manager, we are looking for a technically strong and organised candidate who is keen to take on responsibility on site. You do not necessarily need to have a background exclusively in steel construction, but relevant experience in the construction industry, metal structures or a technically similar project environment is important.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as electromechanics or a similar course.
- You have at least four years’ relevant experience in site supervision, steelwork, metal structures, construction or a similar technical project environment.
- You have strong technical skills and are able to accurately assess the work required on a complex construction site.
- You have strong organisational skills and enjoy planning, coordinating and keeping track of things.
- You take the initiative and are not afraid to make decisions when the situation calls for it.
- You are flexible and can adapt quickly to changes or unexpected situations on site.
- You have excellent communication skills and are able to manage various parties clearly and effectively.
- You’re a real team player and know how to get staff on board with the project.
- Safety and quality are key priorities for you.
- Proficiency in Dutch is essential for this role.
