Team lead Specifications & Product Compliance
Function
As Team Lead Specifications, you are responsible for the management, follow-up and optimisation of all product specifications within the organisation. You ensure that product information is available correctly, completely and in accordance with applicable legislation - from raw material to finished product.
You act as a central point of contact between various internal and external stakeholders and monitor an efficient and error-free flow of information.
Your responsibilities include:
- Final responsibility for product specifications of various production entities
- Management of customer and supplier portals and correct processing of product specifications
- Coordinating the flow between product development, quality, production and sales
- Ensuring correct and consistent master data within internal systems
- Tracking changes in national and international food legislation
- Administrative processing of legislative updates in collaboration with Quality Assurance
- Answering customer queries around labelling, specifications and compliance
- Following up consumer complaints related to labelling or product information
- Reporting to the organisation's quality manager
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in food technology, bioengineering or a similar field
- Relevant experience within the food industry or in product compliance/specifications management
- Knowledge of Belgian and European legislation on labelling, allergens, additives and nutritional declarations
- Strong administrative and analytical skills
- Communicatively strong and fluent in collaboration with various stakeholders
- Hands-on attitude with a good overview of complex processes
- Experience with ERP systems, master data or customer portals is a plus
- First experience in a managerial or coordinating role, or ready to take this step
