Service Engineer Rolling Stock

Are you an experienced technician with a passion for heavy vehicles? Are you looking for a varied job on the job, performing maintenance and repairs on large rolling stock up to 80 tonnes? We are looking for a Service Engineer Rolling Stock for a leading player in internal transport. This challenging field service position will take you to different customers on a daily basis, where you will work on heavy trucks, forklifts and other specialised equipment.

As Service Engineer Rolling Stock, you are the expert responsible for technical maintenance and repairs on large equipment such as heavy lift trucks (approx. 80 tonnes), warehouse trucks and other industrial vehicles.

Your duties:

• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on-site at customer premises.
• Diagnose and solve technical problems on heavy rolling stock.
• Independently and professionally report on works carried out.
• Working on a variety of makes and types of large equipment, making no day the same.
• Working with a well-equipped service van, fully equipped with tools and spare parts.

Profile

For this specialist role, we are looking for a skilled technician with:

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a Service Engineer or Technician in tinkering with heavy vehicles such as trucks, agricultural machinery, large forklifts or similar rolling stock.
• A technical degree in auto mechanics, automotive engineering or similar.
• A solid knowledge of Dutch.
• A valid driving licence B.
• Independence, sense of responsibility and customer-oriented attitude.
