Function
As Lead Electrical Engineer | Data Centres, you will take technical charge of the electrical engineering aspects of complex data centre projects. You will work on advanced energy infrastructure, ranging from low- and high-voltage installations to redundancy concepts and UPS systems, and oversee the design process from the concept phase through to completion.
• You will lead and coordinate the electrical engineering aspects of data centre projects
• You will carry out the technical development of electrical designs from the concept phase through to the detailed design stage
• You will work on low-voltage and high-voltage systems, power distribution, redundancy concepts and UPS solutions
• You will monitor the technical quality and feasibility of the designed installations
• You ensure that designs comply with relevant standards, guidelines and the client’s technical requirements
• You will coordinate electrical engineering with other disciplines such as mechanical engineering, architecture and structural engineering
• You will coordinate engineering activities between Belgian and international project teams
• You will review and assess technical designs and calculations produced by other engineers
• You will be the technical point of contact for electrical issues for project teams, clients and external parties
• You will draw up technical specifications and provide support with tender documentation and technical analyses
• You will contribute ideas on technical optimisations, innovative solutions and digitalisation within the design process
• You will remain involved throughout the implementation phase and help bridge the gap between engineering and implementation
Profile
For the role of Lead Electrical Engineer | Data Centres, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong technical background who can oversee and provide technical guidance on electrical design activities. Experience in data centres is desirable, but experience in other technically complex buildings may also be suitable.
• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, electromechanics or a similar technical discipline
• You have several years’ relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer
• You have experience in the technical management and coordination of electrical engineering and design activities
• You have a good knowledge of electrical installations and energy infrastructure
• You are familiar with the relevant standards and guidelines within the construction and installations sector
• Experience working in data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically complex buildings is a major asset
• You are able to critically assess technical designs and calculations
• You work well with other technical disciplines, clients and external parties
• You communicate fluently within a multidisciplinary and international project environment
• You speak English fluently
• A good command of Dutch is essential
• Knowledge of French is an advantage
Organisation
As a Lead Electrical Engineer | Data Centres, you will be joining an international engineering and consultancy firm that supports companies in the design and implementation of technically complex projects.
In this role, the focus is on mission-critical facilities and data centres. These are technically demanding environments where a reliable and uninterrupted power supply is essential. Among other things, low- and high-voltage installations, emergency power supplies, UPS systems and redundancy must be closely coordinated with one another and with the other technical installations.
You will be part of a Belgian engineering department that is being further expanded to focus on data centre projects. Based in Belgium, you will work closely with international engineering teams on projects for both national and international clients.
You will be working in a multidisciplinary environment that brings together fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture and structural engineering. This means you will be closely involved in the projects, both during the engineering phase and as the project moves towards implementation.

• Gross salary between €5,000 and €7,200 per month
