Function

As a Commercial Calculator, you are an essential link between engineering and commerce. You translate customer demand into clear price quotations, performing calculations and providing expert advice to customers. Your role is crucial to the success of our projects and customer satisfaction. You work from our location in Heist-op-den-Berg and are the face of our company at every customer interaction.

• Preparing detailed calculations for customised steel construction projects.
• Preparing and following up on quotations until order confirmation.
• Thinking along on cost optimisations without compromising on quality.
• Taking into account the firm's margin during both estimations and client discussions.
• A division of duties with 80% being estimation and 20% being commercial.

Profile

To be successful as a Commercial at this company, we would like to see the following profile:

• Training: Bachelor of Industrial Sciences, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or similar through experience.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience as a calculator, ideally in the metal sector.
• Technical understanding: Understanding of building and metal structures.
• Excel expertise: Advanced skills, including complex formulas.
• Commercial skills: Persuasiveness and customer-oriented attitude.
• Attitudes: Highly accurate, problem-solving, customer-oriented and flexible (willingness to work 1 Saturday per month).
• Bonus points: Knowledge of CAD software, experience with ERP systems and command of English for international projects.
