Accounting Officer

Function

As an accounts clerk at this company in Wetteren, you can expect the following range of duties:

• You will be responsible for managing and processing purchase and sales invoices.
• In time, you will be responsible for the VAT returns.
• You keep a close eye on customer and supplier invoices.
• You will play an active part in optimising financial processes.
• You will report to the Financial Manager and work alongside a dedicated team of accountants.
• You process and check incoming financial documents and administrative data on a daily basis.

Profile

We are looking for an accounts assistant with a passion for numbers! You’ll recognise yourself in the following:

• A degree in accounting or economics
• A first experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• An excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Dutch, and also proficient in written French.

The organisation has a flat structure and a direct approach, enabling you to collaborate smoothly with short lines of communication. Within the group, around 65 office staff and 650 site workers work together on high-quality projects.

You will be joining a team comprising one colleague with a similar set of responsibilities, as well as a CFO and a chief accountant.

Offer

This role comes with the following remuneration package:

• You will be taking up a permanent full-time role of 40 hours per week, with the option of a 4/5ths working week.
• You’ll work a fixed timetable, starting between 7.30 am and 9.00 am.
• You’ll receive an attractive remuneration package with a gross salary depending on your experience.
• You will receive meal vouchers worth €10 per day and eco-vouchers.
• A laptop and a mobile phone are provided as part of the role.
• You can also expect 12 ADV days.
