Assistant planner
Function
As an assistant planner for our client in the Bruges region, you will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:
- Supporting the various transport planners (groupage/dry bulk/liquid/general cargo)
- Forward transport orders to the relevant transport providers once the schedule has been approved
- Provide drivers with all the information they need to carry out the transport assignment
- Creating and monitoring shipments on a daily basis (retrieving data, reporting delays, etc.)
- The administrative processing of loading and unloading operations (times, weight, seal numbers, load-securing equipment, etc.)
- Record complaints in the system and follow them up
Profile
As an assistant planner for our client in the Bruges region, you should ideally have the following profile:
- You already have some administrative experience
- Whilst experience in the logistics sector is, of course, an advantage, it is certainly not a requirement
- You have the right attitude – motivation is more important than experience!
- You speak Dutch and English fluently, and have a basic knowledge of French
- You’re quite good with a computer
- You are happy to work a varied timetable between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm (depending on your personal circumstances)
- You have a logical mind and you enjoy making the pieces of the puzzle fit together
