Administrative clerk
Function
Our client located region Zeebrugge is looking for an administrative clerk.
After intensive supervision by an experienced colleague, you will start performing the following independently over time:
- As the person responsible for invoicing control, you ensure that everything runs smoothly
- You sleuth for any discrepancies between the invoices and the data in the invoicing software-the sleuth looking for the source of the problem
- When finding a bottleneck, you do not hesitate to address the appropriate colleague and proactively seek a solution together
- If there are issues, you contact our customers in a friendly and professional manner, in both perfect Dutch and fluent English (you are their rock)
- In addition, you take care of sending clear and well-organised billing lists to our customers so that they have a clear picture of their financial situation
- Finally, you keep accurate records of which invoices have already been paid and which are still outstanding

- You are a true language virtuoso and master both spoken and written Dutch and English. This allows you to communicate effortlessly with colleagues and customers, both locally and internationally

- You have an excellent command of the MS Office package and keep your knowledge up to date so that you always perform at your best
- You are a team player at heart; you work accurately, reliably and flexibly, and you contribute to the good atmosphere through your positive attitude and strong drive
- Stress resistant? Absolutely! You stay calm and focused in all situations
- Moreover, you meet the conditions for obtaining a legally required positive safety opinion for critical positions in the port. Safety always comes first with you
Organisation
Our client once started as a family business and is headquartered in Luxembourg. Meanwhile, it already employs 3,400 people across 5 sites (in Belgium: Zeebrugge and Antwerp). They operate in RORO (Roll On Roll Off) and have 21 container ships of their own. In Zeebrugge, they handle 2000 - 2500 cargoes weekly.
