As an experienced Service Engineer you take the technical responsibility for the other service engineers within the lab automation environment and guide them while working together with in a team. As a real problem solver, your goal is to keep customers satisfied within the scope in an efficient and profitable manner.
Your key responsibilities are:
Prepare, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects;
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field;
Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly on project status;
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support;
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions;
Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management;
Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors;
Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems;
Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions;
Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
A company specialized in the automation of laboratory processes is looking for a service engineer to join their team. They develop products and software for the laboratory environment and take care of the entire process form research and development to after sales such as maintenance and repairs.
Their core activities include building image acquisition and analysis platforms compliant with regulatory requirements, small and big lab automation platforms such as ELISA, developing software to manage devices and connecting instruments to a management platform Icarus for daily monitoring and reporting.
Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
Advanced MS Office 365 skills
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Project management and supervision skills
Decision making ability and leadership skills
Time management and organization skills
Degree in Engineering
Good communication skills in English, knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
