Process Engineer

What are your duties as Process Engineer?

• You are responsible for initiating, implementing and coordinating improvement and optimisation projects in production and logistics.
• To this end, you perform work analyses to detect these optimisations.
• The optimisation projects can be situated in various divisions such as innovation, turnaround time, capacity, safety, quality, automation, environment, etc.
• In short, you think proactively about possible innovations.
• You are also responsible for specifying, purchasing and implementing the proposed production installations.
• In doing so, you take account of the budget.
• As a Process Engineer, you are also responsible for optimising the safety, quality and environmental aspects of the production processes.
• To bring all this to a successful end, you work closely with the production staff and consult with R&D, IT and procurement departments on a regular basis.
• You provide input for the curative and preventive maintenance schedule.
• You supervise layout changes within production.

As a Process Engineer we are looking for someone with the following qualifications/knowledge:

• You hold a bachelor or master degree in Engineering (Electromechanics).
• You have a first experience as Process Engineer.
• Ideally, experience in carrying out modifications on existing machines (e.g. renewing older machines in terms of new controls, safety updates, etc.).
• You have knowledge of production techniques.
• You are a good communicator and can easily work in a team.
• Safety and quality are always your top priorities.
