Teamlead Night

Function

As Team lead at night You will be responsible for managing processes and leading a motivated team within the logistics night shift in Asse, Belgium. You play a key role in ensuring an optimal production process and a safe, efficient and quality working environment. Your duties include:

• Coaching and mentoring your team: Support, motivate, give feedback and develop competences.
• Monitoring productivity: Provide clear instructions and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Managing new employees: Be responsible for proper onboarding and training of new employees, agency staff and students.
• Work planning and optimisation: Allocate tasks based on attendance, workload and priorities.
• Troubleshooting: Making quick and appropriate decisions and coordinating with fellow team leaders and management.
• Ensuring optimal running of logistics: Optimise machine settings, perform maintenance work and call in technical service in case of complex malfunctions.
• Communicate and coordinate: Liaise with temp agencies and temporary workers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety requirements.
• Continuous improvement: Present periodic reports and suggest process optimisation.

Profile

For this position, we are looking for a strong leader with experience in logistics or production. We ask:

• Experience in people management: Preferably in a logistics or operational work environment.
• Language skills: Fluent in Dutch with excellent knowledge of French, or vice versa.
• Organisational skills: Flexibility and stress resistance are essential.
• Communication skills: Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
• Leadership and assertiveness: A team player who can proactively lead and make decisions.
• Independence: Working autonomously and taking initiatives to continuously improve processes.
• IT skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus.

Offer

We offer you an attractive benefits package:

• Contract: Full-time contract of indefinite duration.
• Hourly schedule: Variable working hours between 9pm and 10am, 37 hours per week for 5 nights (Sunday to Friday nights).
• Salary: €2,500 - €3,500, including 20% night premium.
• Additional benefits: Meal vouchers (€8/day), hospitalisation insurance, ecocheques, sector bonuses, private transport allowance and 22 days' leave.
