Service Engineer

We offer a varied role as a Service Engineer where your responsibilities include the following range of tasks:
- You will be responsible for commissioning, fault analysis and maintenance of process installations at customers mainly in the Benelux.
- Involved in building and running tests in the demo room.
- In this hands-on role, you will work closely with various internal departments and ensure clear communication towards customers.
- This challenging role offers the ideal mix of responsibility, technical challenge and customer focus.
- Naturally, a training project is provided at the beginning where you will shadow an experienced service engineer.
Profile
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate who meets the following profile:
- You have a bachelor's or graduate degree in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering or are equivalent through experience.
- You are willing to spend sporadic nights at a hotel in the Benelux region during the working week (never at weekends).
- Working with a work platform and forklift on industrial sites does not scare you off.
- You are communicative, confident and customer-focused during interventions and commissioning.
- You have an interest in PLC and automation; knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal is a plus.
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of English. Other language skills are a plus.
- A proactive attitude and ambition to grow within an innovative organisation are highly valued.
Organisation
Our client is an international family company with German headquarters and a strong focus on installations for the automatic transport and processing (handling) of raw materials. They realise customised solutions for storing, transporting, dosing and processing ingredients for customers in the process industry (food, pharma, chemicals, plastics,...) in the Benelux and Scandinavian regions. To expand the service team, they are currently looking for a service engineer.
