Senior Project Manager Remediation

Function

As project manager, you play a key role in coordinating soil remediation projects and providing strategic advice.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the entire project throughput, from quotation to final invoicing.
• Organising and supervising soil remediation works, including managing environmental supervisors.
• Preparing soil remediation projects, specifications, reports and carrying out claim investigations.
• Performing second opinions and offering strategic advice to clients on soil files.
• Supporting colleagues in soil testing, risk analysis, aftercare and more.
• Opportunity to grow in other services such as claims expertise, court expertise, participation in working groups, organise and lead in-house training.

Profile

For this challenging position, we are looking for an experienced professional who meets the following requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in soil investigation and/or soil remediation consultancy and practical experience on (construction) sites.
• A degree in a scientific discipline, such as Bioengineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or equivalent through experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Flemish soil legislation and experience with risk assessments, remediation techniques and BATNEEC assessments.
• Ambition to support, manage and coach project staff.
• A dynamic, flexible and stress-resistant working attitude, with a strong technical interest.
• Excellent reporting skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Possess a B driving licence; having module I and/or module II autograph qualification is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch. Knowledge of English and/or French is a plus, but not a must.
• You can work from either the Beveren or Deinze office. Given the nature of the job, you will also often be present at sites located throughout Flanders.

Our client is a study, engineering and consultancy firm specialised in research and realisation of total solutions for environmental and soil management, geotechnics and asbestos. They have 2 offices in Flanders (Beveren and Deinze), it is possible to work from both offices and they are about 44 employees.

They are currently looking for a project manager for technical and strategic support for advising clients in the implementation of soil remediation projects, soil remediation works and related reports for the Flanders region.
