Sales Engineer
Function
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the regional sales team in countries such as France, Spain and Italy. You translate customer needs into appropriate solutions and prepare quotations. Furthermore, you contribute to the achievement of set targets.
An overview of your duties:
- You will research customers' needs and prepare quotes based on them.
- You will contribute to the design of automated intralogistics solutions tailored to customer requirements. For this, you will use various tools such as AutoCAD, racking solutions, Warehouse Execution Software,...
- You will evaluate and present various concepts to the sales team and customers.
- You estimate the full cost of the solution offered.
- You will coordinate the validation of the technical design and costs with all stakeholders and experts to achieve formal approval of the design and associated costs.
- You will document system designs in written quotations, including functional descriptions, as input for the sales team.
- You will support sales during customer interactions and commercial activities.
- You manage the file completely until the project kick-off, after which you hand everything over to project implementation.
Profile
For the role of Sales Engineer, you mainly possess the following qualifications:
- You have a master's degree in a technical field (such as electromechanics, mechanics,...) or a similar field.
- Affinity with or interest in warehouse software is considered an advantage.
- You preferably already have some work experience. If this is in the same sector, this counts as an extra asset.
- You have an excellent command of English and preferably French, Spanish or Italian.
- You are strong in negotiation and have the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- You have an understanding of procurement best practices and trends within the industry.
- You have strong project management skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You have excellent communication and social skills.
- You will mainly work from an inside sales position in Lokeren.
