Function

As Engineering Manager, you take charge of the technical team and ensure that production is optimally supported. You combine operational cooperation with organisational and strategic insight.

Your responsibilities:

• Managing, coaching and motivating the technical team (±6 employees).
• Actively participate on the shop floor and tackle technical problems hands-on (±70%).
• Plan, organise and think strategically about maintenance and optimisations (±30%).
• Responsible for the technical management of the production environment.
• Elaborate and follow up on preventive maintenance to ensure continuity.
• Initiate and implement improvement and optimisation projects.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners around technical innovations.

Profile

• Experience in a technical position is a plus, but not a must - motivated school leavers will also be considered.
• Strong people skills and the ability to coach and inspire a team.
• A cooperative leader who leads by example.
• Hands-on attitude and solution-oriented.
• Organisationally strong and able to prioritise.
• Flexible towards working hours.
• Good knowledge of Dutch, supplemented by French and/or English is a plus.
