Mechanical Product Engineer

As Mechanical Product Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of mechanical products for advanced battery systems. Below is a sample of your range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for the entire mechanical design process, from concept to series production, including coordination with external suppliers and consultancy firms.
• You will translate technical requirements into practical, robust and efficient designs, ensure the enclosure, thermal housekeeping, explosion safety, and fire safety of the products.
• You will work closely with the electrical engineers within the team.
• You constantly strive for maintenance-friendly and innovative solutions and contribute to the organisation's product roadmap.
• You ensure that the products are technically performant, but also practical, scalable and reliable in day-to-day application.
• You keep the balance between cost efficiency, sustainability and production quality within your design.
• You report to the business managers on progress and technical choices within product development.

As a Mechanical Product Engineer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• Ideally 5 to 10 years' experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Master industrial engineer in electromechanics, product design,... Or equivalent through experience.
• Experience with 3D design packages such as Solidworks or Inventor for design and detail engineering
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering, metalworking and related fields.
• You can translate technical requirements into thoughtful design.
• Command of both Dutch and English languages.
• Experience and/or interest in managing external partners and suppliers.
• Experience with thermal housekeeping and material choices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate technical aspects
• Team player eager to contribute to the energy transition and growth of a sustainable scale-up.

Using cutting-edge technologies, they aim to provide sustainable and efficient electricity supply on construction sites. They operate both nationally and internationally and are currently looking for a Mechanical Product Engineer to join their team.

As a Mechanical Product Engineer, you can expect the following:

• Monthly salary between €3500 and €4500, depending on your experience.

• 1 day per week home working possible.
• 40-hour working week with 12 ADV days and freely selectable leave.
