Maintenance supervisor

You are responsible for keeping production facilities (machinery and utilities) in optimal condition. You report to the manager technical services. You manage two work planners and a team of maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Optimising the availability of production facilities and ensuring production continuity
• Preserving the technical and economic value of the production park through the organisation of preventive, breakdown and long-term maintenance.
• Acquiring and maintaining technological knowledge within the department as well as keeping technical documentation, procedures and instructions up-to-date
• Improving machinery and tools as a function of safety, quality, efficiency and flexibility
• Managing and coaching the work planners and maintenance technicians
• Initiation and/or follow-up of projects involving overhauls or improvements to the various installations
• Follow-up and feedback on preventive and curative maintenance performed
• Management of maintenance costs (staffing, mechanical spare parts and tools)

• An industrial engineer in mechanics or electromechanics or a technical bachelor's degree equivalent through experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical maintenance environment, preferably in the chemical sector. Thorough knowledge of and affinity for mechanical maintenance
• At least 3 years of managerial experience
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• A good knowledge of MS Office
• You are flexible and put safety first
• A strong sense of responsibility
• In addition to Dutch, good knowledge of English, both written and oral.
• Being able to work independently

This company is part of a large group, active in the food industry (semi-finished products). They have operations in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Finland and Mexico and employ about 1,000 people worldwide.

For our Lommel site, with 300 employees, we are looking for a maintenance supervisor.

A full-time position in day shift. You will be part of a motivated team.
