Logistics clerk

In this challenging role as an All-round Logistics Clerk in Antwerp, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of the overall trade operations and logistics flow. You will be part of a dynamic sales team, in addition to working closely with external forwarders. Key tasks include:

• Administrative follow-up of purchase and sale transactions
• Logistical execution and completion of files
• Planning, instruction and monitoring of logistics processes
• Drawing up purchase and sales contracts
• Stock management and communication with multiple stock locations
• Coordination of container loading and unloading activities
• Managing quality inspections and environmental administration
• Schedule and monitor ocean freight
• Handling transport and banking documents

Do you recognise yourself in the description below? Then you are the colleague we are looking for:

• Experience: 3-5 years in a similar logistics role. Experience at a trader is a huge plus;
• Knowledge of sea freight logistics and export documentation;
• Strong administrative skills for documentation management;
• Skill in MS Excel and MS Word;
• Command of Dutch (basic to good) and English (very good);
• Careful and an organisational talent;
• Independent with a sense of responsibility;
• Active working attitude with a desire to develop yourself where necessary.

Our client is a trader and stockholder in non-ferrous scrap metals such as copper and aluminium. The offices are located at Antwerp South near Antwerp South railway station with ample free parking in front of the door. They also have international offices and representatives in Hungary, Mexico, China and in North America.
